MadiSUN Solar Walking Tours

In partnership with RENEW Wisconsin and the City of Madison, local resident Michael Vickerman will lead an in-person walking tour showcasing residential solar electric installations near and along the Southwest Bicycle Path.  The September 3rd tour will begin at the Madison Friends Meeting House, originally built in 1914. Renovated five years ago, the Meeting House uses a largely solar-powered geothermal system to heat and cool the building interior. In 2022, Madison Friends received recognition as a Dane County Climate Champion. Additional project support was provided by the Solar for Good program, which is administered by RENEW Wisconsin.
